STAGE 1

Design

As this was in essence, a house and land package the developed structural design of the house was completed & consented when James & Katie decided to embark on this process with us, however there was a large scope for individuality in the interior design. Once the build started we worked alongside Katie & James and one of our interior design consultancies custom designing the colour palette and all interior finishes including flooring, bespoke kitchens, bathrooms and right down to the toilet roll holders & light fittings.

STAGE 2

Construction

We actively encourage all new home owners to be involved in the construction of their new house, James & Katie utilised this opportunity to the fullest and visited the site every week for viewing and inspection. This greatly enhances the experience and understanding of how their home is built. It is also a good opportunity for the burning questions to be asked; “can we move that wall to accommodate a bigger book shelf?”, “can we have a feature staircase balustrade and pendant?” and “can we change the fire breast cladding and recess so we can have a bigger TV?” To which the answers were always; “yes, no problem”.

STAGE 3

Handover

As with all previous project handovers, Katie & James wanted to express their thanks for not only the finished product but the journey to get there to the Bayside team and all contractors involved. We also wanted to thank everyone for their efforts in bringing James & Katies dream to a reality, the hand over function was an amazing event and somewhat emotional at times. We remain in contact with Katie & James after they have moved into their new home with their young children and count ourselves lucky they are good friends of Bayside.
