The question of quality is always a massive part of any decision with regards to who you will build with.
The question of quality is always a massive part of any decision with regards to who you will build with. Unfortunately, many people equate the quality of the finishing (painting, landscaping etc) with the quality of the overall project, and whilst the finishing is vitally important, equally important is what that finishing is covering.
As with many things, it all starts with the bones – you know, the things you can’t see, and we have to take somebody’s word that it is done to a high standard.
Some things you can ask that person assuring you are points like:
You want to make sure that the insulation being used will not sag over time, in essence causing only half your house to be insulated. There are also many benefits to insulating internal walls, though many will tell you it is a waste of time and money. Insulated internal walls means more sound insulation, and more efficient heating/cooling activity within rooms as the temperature does not bleed away so easily.
And with regards to the thickness of internal walls, well that ensures for a more solid structure when teenage kids are horsing around and fall into the wall, and it also means you get less arguments between the kids as the sound insulating qualities (along with the insulation in the walls) cuts down on sound travelling. Walls that are 110mm thick help to ensure a solid, quiet, insulated house.
We are always happy for you to compare us against the competition, but let’s make sure you’re comparing apples with apples. Call us for a chat to discuss the quality we put behind the finishing, and what questions you can be asking our competitors.
